Our delightful, Gold-award winning 2016 Kokolo Pinot Noir was destined for higher places this year —- namely, the sky!

Air NZ had chosen our favourite Banks Peninsula wine to serve on all of their International flights through Winter and Spring this year — and, like all of us, she's been grounded and is back home with us! We were so honoured to have our Pinot Noir selected to be poured exclusively on board in business class, but it means we now have a limited opportunity available for our customers.

Our pinot noir has a lifted bouquet of dark cherry, plum and blue fruits with some hints of smoky oak. The ripe, silky palate is supported by soft supple tannin with a lovely line of acidity and a smoky, chocolatey, oak finish. Drink now or cellar up to five years.

RRP: $36.00

The inviting bouquet shows dark berry, smoked meat, vanilla, dark mushroom and mixed spice aromas, leading to a beautifully weighted palate that is smooth and fruit expressive with subtle savoury nuances. The wine is wonderfully balanced and harmonious, and finishes long and silky. At its best: now to 2020. 93 points. 5 stars. Wine Orbit - January 2018.

Wow. Here’s one ultra-juicy, exotically-scented, super-charged pinot noir from under the southern sun. Kokolo is a vineyard on a sheltered site at the head of Lyttleton and clearly the grapes live the dream there, because the resulting wine is a smile in a bottle. Fresh, luscious, spice-infused and dusted with cocoa, it’s tannins are plucky and plush and it lingers long in the mouth. Love it. 5 stars. Yvonne Lorkin – Winefriend.
